Lead Vocals: Lynne Chwyl


Lynne began performing professionally with live blues bands only 8 years ago. She has since been a member of several Edmonton and Calgary bands and has performed at many venues and festivals throughout Alberta. Lynne has enjoyed invitations on stage from many blues notables such as Bruce Conte (Tower of Power), Tommy Castro, Studebaker John, and Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne. She provided background vocal tracks on Kenny’s most current recording “Inspired by the Blues” , and is working with esteemed producer and sound engineer, Miles Wilkinson, on her own debut CD. The Lynne Chwyl Band is winner of the Edmonton Blues Society “2019 Memphis Bound Blues Challenge.”   "On behalf of the band, we want to thank this amazing community for all the support! Drums: Greg Pretty


Edmonton drummer, Greg Pretty, has a long history with the blues, having toured with Juno winners Johnny V (Mills), Brent Sam Parkin, and Rusty Reed; as well as Grammy winner Don Johnson and Grammy nominee Gaye Delorme. He has also toured with blues legend and Rock n Roll Hall of Famer Lowell Fulsome; two-time Juno nominee King Biscuit Boy; and Juno nominee David Gogo. Greg is married and father of two children who front their own very successful band.


Bass: Jeff Bartlett


Jeff started playing at 19 years old and toured professionally from 1982-1993 playing in country bands, rock bands, dance bands, and top 40 bands. He has played with Vancouver recording act "Juan Trak"; blues legend "Studebaker John"; and has toured and recorded on his first album with Bobby Cameron. Jeff is a working member of several local bands including the Joint Chiefs.


Keyboards: David Aide


Edmonton-based pianist and organist, David Aide, a.k.a. Rooster Davis, specializes in the New Orleans piano traditions such as Dr. John, Professor Longhair, and James Booker. His own style is a combination of everything he has learned from these great players, giving him a driving, rhythmic style of performing. The Rooster Davis Band was a finalist in the Edmonton Blues Society “Memphis Bound Blues Challenge” (2018).


Guitar: Percy Marshall


Percy is the recipient of 2 ARIA (Alberta Recording Industry Association) awards and has played in over 30 Alberta bands and duos throughout Western Canada since the early 70s. He has been both a player and an adjudicator for many local bands and ‘battle of the bands’ , including being an adjudicator four times for the local leg of the Memphis International Blues Competition. Percy was inducted into the Edmonton Legends of Music Hall of Fame in 2017.


Saxaphone: Rosemarie Siever


Rose Marie C obtained her Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from the University of Alberta, and first prizes in Saxophone Performance/Chamber Music from the Bordeaux Conservatory, France. Experienced with numerous orchestral and freelance work, Rose Marie C currently works regularly with X Band Latin Sensation, Uptown, The Retrofitz, her own band St. Bliss, and other projects. She is an active teacher and clinician.
